John Dearman, one of three men wanted in Alabama on suspected kidnapping, rape and murder charges of a 14 year old was arrested at Grady Hospital while being treated for a severely infected amputated finger injury. He eventually led authorities to a known drug house where they arrested a second man James Carlton. The third man, William Knight's last known whereabouts, according to John, was on I-85 and he may have gotten into a white van.
An investigation is underway into the death of James Carlton which occurred while he was in police custody.

Atlanta is getting a new park at the corner of Auburn and Irwin just across from the Atlanta Wizard Tower as some locals refer to the tower home. Morna Demarkov along with her art institute acquired the land under an agreement with the city to turn it into a park. The park will feature what Demarkov described as a modern stone henge based on custom commissioned stonework from artisans around the world. It is the first part of a wider global work she is intending and says when completed it will serve as a thought provoking connection between cities all over the world inviting people to think about themselves as part of a global community through a shared visual geography. The first phase will see the installation of what she describes as a ring of cores surrounding a central obelisk. The site will also feature benches, water fountains for both people and their four legged friends, and a selfie-stand linked to their soon to be released Awakened App. "It's all about truly connecting people in a specific shared moment and space," she said.
