Percival and Lucien went to visit Isobel Southeil who’s name and address was listed in Dewey’s notes, labeled simply “witch.”
After leaving our needling with the feds we both discussed what to do, Lucien is planning on visiting Polkdot at his home, and Percival was looking to chase down all Dewey’s contacts and places mentioned in his notes to get more information about what Dewey was doing and had planned.
First we checked in the Atlanta paranormal society, meeting up with Rainiel Ortiz, who is in his mid to late twenties, and wants to desperately have some friends, and who is the current president of the APS.
Talking with him, he comes across as someone who approaches the supernatural and occult as a hobby, and a curiosity, instead of something that truly exists or accept, outside of fandom.
He really wanted to go with us on our upcoming trip to Colorado, but weren’t sure he could handle himself in actually experiencing the supernatural for real. He persisted, and we decided to show him how the US military’s experimental teleportation machine broke Lucien’s house. He acted as though we made it up and paid to have it decorated as it is.
Percival gave Raineil as task to look into Insosperti while we were on our trip.
We left the next morning to fly into Denver and drive to visit Isobel.
When we arrived at the address in Dewey’s notebook, we noticed that the front yard was filled with bird baths, garden gnomes and other concrete statues of small animals. It at the edge of the yard where there was a retaining wall, were piles of metal rods, presumably to erect a metal fence.
In the driveway was an older Mazda.
We knocked on the door, and a young woman answered, saying she was Isobel’s daughter and informed us that her mother had passed nine months ago.
She brought us into the house and made small talk and showed us around the house a little bit. Noting come of her “mothers” collections, bowling balls, kitchen knife sets, pots and pans, plates and cook ware galore, etc…
As we were talking the sound of tire screeching and a crash can be heard, and as we look outside we witness a child being hit by a car, “Janet,” Isobel’s “daughter” screams and runs outside in a panic, yelling about how that man always drives down the street to fast.
Lucien goes outside to render first aid, as Percival calls 9-1-1 about the accident and notifying them that a child was hit by a car. Then he begins to look around the house, finding that the pantry has many… many! Odd items.
During the all of this the woman’s who’s son was hit by the car, comes running down the street in a panic, then one of the neighbors yells about a house on fire, which the woman turns then screams something about “leaving the iron turned on.” She then turns to run to the house the turns back to her child then falls over breaking her nose.
