Chapter three: the doll house {unfinished account}

Lucien was recognized by three people who identified themselves as members of the Atlanta Paranormal Society, who showed him a video on YouTube, that had him, Daniel, and Percival in it, from the Montgomery estate, and was uploaded by Preston, formerly of 8th Dimension, on his new YouTube channel.

Lucien then visited Percival at the bookstore, showing him the video and telling him about their meeting he was invite to the next day.

Daniel upon hearing about the invitation, informed us he was a honorary lifetime member and that he “goes to all the meetings unless he doesn’t”

We decided to go, though Lucien would remain outside.

The meeting was at 3:30 in the afternoon at joes coffee in east Atlanta. There were thirteen people at the meeting, not including Daniel and percival.  It was largely a social event, with people just chit chatting, and eventually folks began to discuss the groups next outing.

A woman named Karen wanted to continue their gravestone rubbings and the three folks that met Lucien wanted to go to the Barrett Murder House, and spend the night, as Sunday was the anniversary of the first murder that happened in the house.

Percival weighed in and asked what gravestone rubbing salt had to do with the supernatural and said that it sounded boring. Karen seemed to be hugely deflated and slunk back in her chair and mumbling something about how these graves were “being forgotten” however once the vote was taken it was decided that they would travel further south to continue the gravestone rubbings. The three folks that approached Lucien said they were going to go to the murder house, and the meeting wound down, with folks returning to chit chat and slowing filtering out.

As percival and Daniel left to go to their car, the were followed by a the goth girl with purple tips, as they approached Daniels car, where Lucien was waiting for the them.

It was decided we would go ahead of time and meet up with them around eight pm Sunday evening, at the house.

The goth girl, Joan, slowly inserted herself into our circle and discussion offering to ride with us or for us to ride with them and even to contact Preston and get his phone number for us.

We decided that we’d just meet them, and that Daniel would contact the owner of the property and make sure we have permission to be on the property, since he had done some work for them at one time (10-11 years ago).

Arriving Saturday evening Percival walked around town and asked people about the murder house and collected stories from people trying to ge5 more information about the property and what had happened there.

We then went and checked out the house and found it in complete disrepair, vandalized and somehow not falling down. From there we went to the Airbnb Lucien had rented and slept.

The next day we went and bought some supplies for Daniel, and percival bought a GoPro camera.

Arriving around 8 pm found another vehicle at the house. One with the logo for a cable paranormal news show and a man outside the house being filmed, who Daniel immediately recognized as the “psychic” Ben Potter.

Daniel became irate and got out of the car and began throwing things and yelling at the psychic which the tv show continued to film. Percivak went Andrew harassed the producer on site and asked them to sign a NDA from the bookstore just for shits and giggles and then said he did not give permission to filmed.

The psychic got fed up and started yelling about how the show set h8m up and that he was done and they all left.

Not long afterward a van showed up with Joan, Greg Andrew Andrew from the Atlanta Paranormal Society. Joan asked if “our friend” (Lucien) would be coming and we all went inside.

Eventually Lucien shows up after three high school kids show up to spend the night in the murder house.

We just wait till the time that murder happened, 11:37pm.

Once the time rolls around, percival hears a sound like a piece of furniture falling over in the room above the living room. Lucien, Daniel, Greg, and Andrew go upstairs to see what happened. They notice that the high school kid, Brett, who went upstairs isn’t up there.

After clearing all the rooms, they find in the bedroom above the living room, a standing mirror that wasn’t there before. And as Lucien tries not to look into it sees his reflection from the rear and disappears. Daniel freaks out a bit and yells that Lucien is missing. Greg had moved closer to the stairs as Andrew moves to enter the room and disappears.

Daniel maintains eye contact with the mirror and stays in front of the door.

Percival wakes up the two remaining HS kids and tells them to get dressed and move into the living room with Joan. Greg goes to the living room to join them.

After percival goes upstairs, there are multiple flashes of light, he checks the other rooms and asks Daniel what he saw. Daniel says he saw lucid and Andrew just fade away after entering the bedroom and percival andhe discuss making some kind of signal. Percival then attempted to enter the bedroom and Daniel pushes him forward into the room.

A strange feeling overcame Percival and then he was in a more cleaned up house with furniture painted on the walls.

Lucien and Andrew came out of a bedroom and were surprised to see another person.

From there percival and the others teamed up and began talking about what they had experienced and planned to go downstairs where a light was emanating.

Just as they began to go down the stairs they heard a sound and the unmistakable voice of Daniel, as he appeared with the mirror still clutched in his hands. Percival helped steady Daniel and the mirror as they both nearly fell over.

Daniel explained what he had done and percival decided to attempt some variations of it in the attempt to return to the other side. All failed.

As they all walked downstairs, they found a little girl standing in the room where the ligh5 was coming from. Lucien approached her and she called him “daddy” wanted to know is the rest of us were “daddy’s” friends.

She said now that there others here she wanted to have a tea party and that when daddy came home he always had his beer and passed out in his chair. Furniture appeared suddenly.

We pretended to drink tea, and percival asked the little girl some questions which she started to not like and she said “would you like to have some more tea...” and as Percival pretended to drink from the imaginary tea cup she yelled “with razor blades in it!??” Percival then spit a razor blade out of his mouth, luckily having not swallowed it or cut his mouth.

Lucien then went into the kitchen to see “mommy” who was “cooking dinner and who acted as though she was a doll or an automaton.

Through talking with the little girl we found that her name was Cathleen Barrett, and that she didn’t like the kid, Brent, that came through earlier, because he was mean, and that Anna, her nanny took him away. Further more she made comments that alluded to Mister Barrett having been abusive to his wife, and tha5 he would sometimes “mistakenly” come into her room and sleep with her. Sometimes Anna would remind him which room was his.

Lucien attempted to go into the basement to get the hidden candy for Cathleen, but she said there were lots of spiders and that they would fall on “daddy’s head” which is what happened, and Lucien gave up on the endeavor.

She said that Daniel looked like a teddy bear, because he was wearing pillows all over himself.

Andrew kind of freaked out and went into the bathroom and began trying to remove the toilet to try to go through the pipes to get back.

Percival opened the front door and looked outside but couldn’t see anything, pulled out his phone and took a picture of what he could see and then a picture of the little girl, just befor his battery on his phone completely drained.
