Victor Landry's Notebook is the real meat of the documents:
The first part of the notebook covers the rituals. The wording, phrasing and use of bullets points is peculiar and might suggest it was being copied down from another source.
Sacred Sites: The notebook lists a number of "sacred sites."
1. Ellis Estate House - Familiar with one already. Landry notes that the grounds are saturated in magic energy and feels it is easier to cast there but notes also there are strange side effects that can't be accounted for.
Also of note: Landry mentions that on any clouded night usually around 11:30pm the clouds near the back of the house will consistently part and what appears to be an eye can sometimes be seen.
2. Landers California Out of his jurisdiction
Originally designed to house powers of rejuvenation, human-life extension, and anti-gravity time travel in the heart of California’s Mojave desert. It was built in the 1950s by aircraft mechanic and ufologist George Van Tassel — under instruction from an alien from Venus he encountered during a space trip.
The structure there serves as a healing sonic sound bath for visitors. Is controlled by S6, similarly to how the Ellis House is used but it is still currently open to visitors.
3. Cahokia Mounds - In his Jurisdiction
The site of a pre-Columbian Native American city directly across the Mississippi River from modern St. Louis, Missouri. This historic park lies in south-western Illinois between East St. Louis and Collinsville. The park covers 2,200 acres, and contains about 80 mounds.
This seems to be Landry's "old stomping grounds" and where he was ordained.
4. Crater Lake - Out of his jurisdiction. No real notes on the place but it appears he had planned to visit it one day.
5. Devil's Tower - Again out of his jurisdiction but he notes suggest it is not actually "sacred" but is used as such particularly for simply putting on a bit of a show or for ceremonies that are really just a charade for some individuals.
6. Bighorn Medicine Wheel - Out of his jurisdiction. Notes that the site is under the control of Crow Natives.
7. Salvation Mountain - Notes: Leonard Knight’s self-built 50-foot clay mountain is inscribed with religious passages that focus on a simple message that God is Love seems to be serving as a "cork" and Landry notes the site is "inactive." It is also out of his apparent jurisdiction.
8. Gateway Lake: Another one out of his jurisdiction he does note that it is entirely under control by Mr. Owl and S6 are forbidden from using the site.
The notebook also serves as a bit of journal and seems to show Landry's interest shifted from Ankroptic to trying to explore deeper into casting using the Ankroptic summoning spell as a foundation for learning.
Laundry has broken the Summon Ankroptic spell down into two parts:
Part 1: Summons Ankroptic
Part 2: Serves as a circle of protection
Complete refers to the entire summoning spell with protection
Contains Spells:
Summon/Commune with Ankroptic (Complete)
There are three different version of the spell all of which are mostly similar except for minor changes in the runes used.
Version 1:
Version 2:
Version 3: Noted as the most difficult and draining version
Circle Protection* (Incomplete)
Landry notes he is not sure about the circle of protection and had plans to test it.
He questions:
Does it keep Ankroptic in the circle, or protect those outside of the circle from him.
Would it protect someone inside the circle from Ankroptic if Ankroptic were outside of the circle.
Is it specific to Ankroptic or would it work as protection from other things.
Additional Spells:
Summon Servant of Ankroptic
Landry seems to have some misgivings about this and notes that it is so incredibly similar to Commune Ankroptic spell that he thinks it must be summoning perhaps a "part' of Ankroptic. He ponders if Ankroptic is like a squid and this brings about a single arm. He also notes that this is more than adequate for convincing acolytes and/or intimidation and dispelling skeptics.
Mark of Ankroptic
This does not seem to be so much a spell. Landry notes he doesn't know what it actually does. He has tried drawing the symbol on things and empowering it but to no avail. He has tried carving it into people and empowering it but to no avail.
He ponders if it isn't something Ankroptic can use but he can't, or just purely symbolic.
He has also tried substituting it into parts of the summoning spell but again to no avail.
He has tried carving into dead animals and empowering it but gotten no results.
He has noted that occasionally members have reported blackout like episodes and wonders if it is tied to the symbol, perhaps allowing Ankroptic to control them. He also notes however that he has never experienced such an episode and that he has caught worshippers before "faking" symptoms and things, similar to speaking in tongues, or working themselves into frenzies, under the guise of it being a sign from Ankroptic that they are "chosen" or "special."
During communes Ankroptic has encouraged to him the spread of the symbol though.
He notes a variation with an "eye" like symbol in the center.
Banish
Used as a punishment this spell requires a person or living or dead thing, to be in the center of the spell's circle and it "withers and consumes" them.
Landry again shows some skepticism in his notes and had apparently practiced a bit with this spell using living and nonliving things.
A few of his tests:
Pens = Pen is fine but it dries up the ink.
Pot of water = Pot is fine but the water seems to boil off.
Mix of fabrics = Degrades Polyesters but cotton is fine
Cotton Plant = Withers the plant
Crack/Cocaine = Does nothing to it.
A dog half in the circle and half out = Withered half the dog, the other half lived until the spell wore off.
Dry wall = When drawn on dry wall did nothing, when dry wall was placed in the center of the circle it withered all of it but a "paper or hair thick portion of it."
Landry also notes that occasionally the spell behaved erratically. When banishing one victim he appeared to wither away to nothing as expected but on the spell concluding he came back again, thinner with retarded muscular structure, severely dehydrated, and with apparently brittle bones as when he tried to walk away his leg snapped.
Landry notes:
The runes can be drawn on nearly anything.
Do to precision required he notes that drawing in dirt doesn't work well.
Though traditionally done in a circle Landry notes it would seem to work with nearly any shape.
Duration of the summoning is at most about 15-17 minutes after which Ankroptic leaves.
Landry also notes the sacrifice portions of the spell doesn't actually seem to be needed.
There are no specific dimensions of the circles and doesn't seem to matter.
Because the size doesn't matter Landry wonders how much or little of Ankroptic are they summoning or would his size change based on the space allotted by the circle. - He had plans to test this.
More Notes:
The Ellis House is the only place that Landry has witnessed what he calls "leakage." That is, bits (single bugs) of Ankroptic turning up outside the circle. He theorizes it has something to do with the site itself.
Ankroptic occasionally leaves bugs behind.
One type dries up quickly into just a brittle husk.
One shows an ability to exert a will on people and considered a blessing to be consumed.
Another type when consumed procreate inside the body and is said to allow Ankroptic to communicate or control the person in subtle ways. The person still retains a "free will" but is more in touch with Ankroptic. If they fall out of favor the bugs will leave the body through the nose, eyes, or coughing. The ritual is to save them and upon communing return them to Ankroptic.
Landry is again skeptical about this "connection" they are suppose to form but he does note that they seem to have health benefits. He thinks they leave the body for some other reason (lifecycle perhaps) but notes that nevertheless it is a good way to keep followers in line and returning and seeking "guidance." (This would suggest this bug always leaves the body no matter what but Ankroptic priests use it to trick followers into thinking they are straying from the path.)
Landry has never consumed any bugs. He muses that though curious he is afraid it might negatively effect his abilities and doesn't want to risk it.
