Big Bend Park

*Park is expected to be reopening within a week on a limited basis and hikers will need to register and plan their routes.
*Vehicles found in the park are being towed and impounded in Lajitas.
*Local police and forest rangers have arrested at least four people found trespassing while the park is closed and dozens have been fined for entering.
*Bodies, many believed to have been missing tourists, have been recovered from the Rio Grand with some having been reported to have washed into Lajitas. Authorities are currently working to identify the remains.
